Terms and conditions
These Standard Contract Terms are an integral component of the agreement between you and Look4homes.net. We recommend that you study the following standard terms of business carefully.
Holiday Rental Reservations
The reservation deposit is considered a confirmation of your booking: you are obliged to respect your reservation as much as we are obliged to keep the apartment reserved for you.Â When reservation is finalised unfortunately we are unable to refund you.
If the FULL stated amount is not received, the deposit is not considered made and the booking not held (unless transfer is under dispute with the banks). The guest should pay their own bank charges and for paypal payments there is a flat fee for charges (if these charges are passed on to us, the deposit will not be as stated and therefore not considered received.)
As soon as the reservation deposit required is paid, your reservation is confirmed and the ownerâ€™s details will be forwarded to you. From this point on, we would advise you to communicate directly with the owner, we will follow you up, of course , in case of any urgent or unexpected matters.
If you do not receive confirmation of your booking confirmation, pleaseÂ contact usÂ to inquire about your reservation. We would like to emphasize that even if a booking has already been confirmed, the confirmation e-mail might not arrive sometimes due to failures of the guest’s or the receiver’s email account.
Reservation Deposit Due Date:
The reservation deposit must be received in 48 hours (unless otherwise stated) from the moment of confirmation of wishing to book. This allows for time to send payment and time for it to appear or arrive. The booking automatically expires without warning after this period.
The balance, if it has not previously been transferred must be paid in cash on arrival as well as the refundable security deposit, if required.
On the day of your arrival you will be met at the apartment – there will be someone waiting for you when you arrive, so we need to know your flight details (time of arrival and departure and airport ) or your expected arrival time at the apartment well in advance. If there is any delay, please advise the owner via mobile or text message of the delay and your presumed time of arrival.Â If you do not provide us with your arrival time there will be NOBODY waiting for you.Â Unless otherwise arranged with the owner, theÂ check-in timeÂ is 14:00 and theÂ check-outÂ time is 10:00 a.m. However, if possible, you may check-in and check-out at the time which is more convenient to you.
There is an additional 25 Euro fee in case of arrival after 9pm and a 40 Euro fee for all arrivals after 11pm.
It is therefore important that the guests call the owner to inform of any unexpected delays, as soon as possible, in order to avoid paying the extra “double check in” fee.
If the apartment and/or any of its contents are damaged by client, or his/hers guests, the client will be held responsible for the damage and this will be deducted from the refundable
Clients are not allowed to exceed the number of guests specified in the reservation form, unless an agreement has been reached with the owner prior to the guests’ arrival.
Clients are kindly asked to pay maximum attention to their keys, the doors’ locks are, in some cases, quite sophisticated and hard to repair. In case of loss, the client will be asked to pay for all expenses or deducted from the security deposit, on the day of departure.
In case clients do not carry the right amount and the owner or the check-in agent is forced to come back a second time to receive the remaining money, guests will be asked to pay an extra fee of Euro 20,00. A photocopy of each guests’ ID card or passport will be required at check in.
Personal Belongings and Safety
Neither the owners of our homes nor Look4homes.net is in any way responsible for the clients’ personal belongings, nor for any other situation relative to the clients’ personal safety.
TheÂ owner reserves the right to access the apartment or room if urgent maintenance problems occur.
a) IFÂ YOUÂ CANCEL
Â·Â Â If youÂ Â have booked by sending a reservation deposit, all payments will be forfeited should you cancel at any time, for any reasons.Â We do NOT refund theÂ reservation deposit.
.Â If you cancel from 20 days before the date of arrival: the cost of one night will be charged.
.Â NO SHOW 50% of the total price will be charged
.Â If the client abandons the property, he loses all rights to any eventual refund or rebate.
b)Â IFÂ WEÂ CANCEL
.Â Â In the rare occasions in which unforeseen circumstances make the apartment booked by you unavailable, you will be given the choice of staying in an apartment of similar characteristics and price.
Â·Â Â If conditions inherent to us unable our staff to provide you with another apartment (as specified in the previous point),Â your reservation deposit will be fully returned toÂ you, and Look4homes.net Â will have no furtherÂ liability.
However, we would like to highlight the fact that the Look4homes.netÂ staff commit themselves to providing you with the apartment you have booked, and the events described above are bothÂ rareÂ andÂ unlikely.
Â·Â Â Â For some apartments a security deposit is strictly required. This amount will be fully refunded upon check out, provided everything is in order. Generally the security deposit has to be paid on your arrival in cashÂ together with the balance.
Â·Â Â Â Please note that theÂ reservation deposit is not the security deposit. The first one is needed to reserve the property, the second one (which will be refunded in full upon check out, provided everything is in order) is needed to prevent any damage on the property.
Â·Â Â Â Whoever does the check-in is responsible for the security deposit. Should there be any problems with this deposit, that person should be contacted. Look4homes.net is not responsible for how the security deposit may be dealt with.
Â·Â Â Â The apartment will be clean and readyÂ for your stay upon your arrival, and will beÂ cleaned once your holiday is over.
Â·Â Â Â You are expected to leave the flat in the same conditions in which you found it. No damage is to be done to the property, the furniture and all the things inside the apartment. If you find something broken/not working properly in your accommodation please report it to the owner of the apartment as soon as possible. TheÂ owner of the apartment is responsible for solving problems related to the functionality of the apartment. Neither the owner nor Look4homes.net canÂ be held responsible forÂ any inefficiency if reported too lateÂ (e.g. at the end of your stay). The group leader, whose name appears in the booking confirmation, is the responsible person for the behaviour of her/his party.
Â·Â Â Â If there are insufficiencies in the apartment, the guest has toÂ directly contact the owner of the apartment, who is entirely responsible for the state of the apartment.
TheÂ keysÂ are collected in the apartment at the time of your check-in and they are given back to the owner or one ofÂ his/her representatives at check out.
Apartment and propertyÂ descriptions:
Â·Â Â Â TheÂ descriptions have been made truthfully and describe the apartments and properties accurately.
Â·Â Â Â All information (including photos) provided is correct at the time of writing and updated when informed. However, we have the right to make changes to this information and will warn you about these changes when you book or rent the property or when we are informed of these changes.
Â·Â Â Â Any differences found between the actual apartment and the description are due to occasional changes carried out by the owner, and Look4homes.net cannot be held responsible for these rare variations.
Unless differently stated in theÂ description,Â petsÂ of any kind and sizeÂ are not accepted.
Number of people:
Guests cannot bring a party, including children, that exceeds the number of people stated in the booking confirmation.
Â·Â Â Â Look4homes.net is not responsible for any theft against its guests.Â Regarding this, we suggest underwriting travel insurance.
Â·Â Â Â Look4homes.netÂ is not responsible for any damage caused to the belongings of our guests and/or to our clients.
Â·Â Â Â Look4homes.netÂ is not responsible for damages caused by the guests in the apartments.
Â·Â Â Â The owner of the apartment, and notÂ Look4homes.net, is responsible for the good functioning of the apartment and its appliances.
