The Campania region
The property is located in the centre of Ispani. a rural village on the hills of the Cilento, about 8 km from Sapri, which is in turn some 150km South of Salerno. It lies on the borders between Campania, Calabria and Basilicata. The area, known as the “Basso Cilento†is famous for its nature, the beauty of its coast-line and its inland mountains.
The “Cilento and the Vallo di Diano National Park†is a large area that includes part of the Tyrrhenian coast and stretches inland to the Alburni mountains. The flat is situated in the heart of the village about a mile from the sea and boasts a magnificent view over the whole of the Gulf of Policastro. Just below Ispani, about 8 mins away there are a number of beaches, north and south along the coast. Most beaches are free of charge and directly accessible at many points by car. The climate is ideal: mild during the winter and of course, hot in summer.
Some of the best places to visit are the underground grottoes of Pertosa or the magnificent Abbey of Padula, as well as the mystical style statue of Christ perched on the mountain of Maratea. Then why not explore the ancient Greek colonisation of Paestum with its temples and the ruins of the Greek Colony at Velia or simply take a walk through the spectacular waterfalls of Morigerati.

There is a regular train service to the train station of Sapri: Eurostar Rome–Sapri (3hrs40), Naples–Sapri (1hr40), Lamezia–Sapri (1hr 40).
