North of Rome lie the beautiful lakes of Bolsena, Bracciano and Vico. The unspoilt countryside around Lake Bolsena in particular is certainly worth visiting. Lazio also has a 60-mile coast, with attractive resorts such as Sperlonga, Nettuno and Anzio. Just off the coast are the beautiful cluster of Pontine Islands.
